I was looking for a book in my basement and came across a box of old photographs; I was only going to look at a couple of them…however, I was quickly drawn in. I sat down on a box of Christmas decorations and began going through them. One by one, I was instantly transported. As I looked at each photograph, the feelings, the smells, the sounds, the memories, all came rushing back. That’s what I love about photography, the ability to capture those fleeting moments in time. Frozen frames of life unscripted; transforming the seemingly mundane to precious memories. The out of focus, off center photos, that didn’t make the cut for the photo album, took me on a wonderful, unplanned nostalgic excursion. Sometimes my little rabbit trails pay off 🙂

These are so nice Shannon! It goes by too fast doesn’t it?
